We search for three-neutron resonances which were predicted from pion double charge exchange experiments on 3 He. All partial waves up to J = 5 2 are nonresonant except the J π = 3 2 + one, where we find a state at E = 14 MeV energy with 13 MeV width. The Baldin sum rule for the nucleon has been recalculated at the light of the most recent photoabsorption cross section measurements. The proton value (α + β) p = 13.69 ± 0.14 is smaller but consistent with the one usually quoted in literature. However, the value for the neutron (α + β) n = 14.40 ± 0.66 turns out to be three standard deviations away from the previously calculated one.

We argue that current data on nuclear shadowing confirm expectations of the color singlet models of nuclear shadowing. We demonstrate that unitarity constrains require nuclear shadowing for gluons to be very significant already for x ≤ 10 . Physics of coherent diffraction production of vector mesons off light nuclei is also discussed.

The chiral two-pion exchange component of the long-range pp interaction is studied in an energy-dependent partial-wave analysis. We demonstrate its presence and importance, and determine the chiral parameters c i (i = 1, 3, 4). The values agree well with those obtained from pion-nucleon amplitudes.
